One 60-day cruise circling the Australian Coast is being halted in the wake of the death of an senior female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated coastal location.

The elderly woman had been trekking on Lizard Island with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but separated from the party for a pause. The liner sailed away leaving her and returned several hours later after the personnel discovered the passenger was unaccounted for.
